I’m famous (notorious you may say) between people around me as being a pensive man, I agree with them, sometimes I get lost in thoughts while staring at someone or somewhere. I look strange and even some people get insulted, I don’t know if I should fix this habit in myself or no, but the fact is that I dream a lot.
Today I was thinking about the responsibilities the dreams bring for us, I’m talking about the kind of dreams in which we imagine ourselves in a position where we want to be whole heartedly because it feels so great that is indescribable , the more dreams we make, the more responsibility we have for achieving them, I don’t say by any means that dreaming is bad, but if we want to have satisfaction and happiness in life, the ability to justify our dreams for ourselves to see whether they are the feasible for us, and the willpower to go for them is very important.
Undoubtedly one of our most valued possessions in our lives is our dreams, I believe that the largest part of the mental activities in humans is dreaming, day and night, I strongly agree with Henry Ford’s famous quote which says “Thinking is the hardest work there is” but unlike thinking dreaming is easy, perhaps the easiest, but also one the most powerful driving forces in our lives, it play a serious role in defining what we are and what we will become, we often yearn to directions which we have dreamed of taking, we seek jobs that we have dreamed of working, we love friends that we have dreamed of having, we crave to reach our dreams and make them true and when one happens, its of our greatest achievements.
If there is a golden rule of satisfaction of deep and hearty kind, it is working toward your dreams and achieving them, and equally, weaving goodbye to a long nurtured dream is a deep hearty loss, we can easily get carried on by the streams of events and ordinary days, we can accept the first offer coming to us which can take us under control for a considerable percentage of our lives, we may make decisions that favors comfort or small and short-term satisfactions over long-term and greater ones, or even not decide on anything at all when we must actually decide and choose a direction, and as a result of all these, we will wake up one day and remember the visions we had when we were at the beginning of the road and compare it to where we are actually standing, we will see we are far away from our vision and the regrets is useless.
